Recycling of Our Glass Bottles

Recycling of glass wine bottles is something that BARGETTO WINERY has done since our founding in 1933.  In the 1960s and 1970s we had our own glass cleaning department for soaking, sanitizing, de-labeling and reusing.(This endeavor kept many young Bargettos of my generations working in our early days).

Today, all bottles from our tasting rooms are collected in bins and sold to Encore Glass Company.  They in turn melt down the glass for reuse.  In doing so, we are participating in the conservation of resources and this is an important part of our commitment to Sustainable Winegrowing.
