together with smoky mocha tar to encompass
this bold, yet soft merlot. This wine illustrates the distinctiveness
of cool climate merlot. This Merlot also carries complex notes
of juniper spice and cedar. Still quite youthful, this wine can
be
cellared
for a year or two prior to indulgence. No patience? A simple decanting
will do..."

WINERY'S Regan Estate Vineyard is located on a southwest
slope in the Santa Cruz Mountains near Corralitos, overlooking
the majestic Monterey Bay. This cool climate vineyard allows the
grapes to develop rich and complex flavors over an exceptionally
long growing season. These distinct and age-worthy wines from
Regan Vineyards reflect this unique location. We are committed
to sustainable winegrowing practices such as, biodiesel and solar
electricity.

State Fair
The California State
Fair is the oldest commercial wine competition in the United States,
and arguably the most prestigious. The Fair began in San Francisco
in 1854, and celebrates its 156th anniversary in 2009. Since the
1950's, all judges must demonstrate professional tasting experience
and pass a comprehensive examination designed by the University
of California at Davis. There were a total of 192 Merlot's entered
into this years competition.
