The Honeymooner
The term "honeymooner", of course, refers to the period
spent by newlyweds right after the marriage. According to Irish folklore,
the origin of the term suggests that newlyweds consume honey wine
for the full cycle of the moon–30 days. CHAUCER'S Mead (100%
honey wine) inspires this old tradition, and is enjoyed hot and spiced,
chilled by itself...or as the Honeymooners like it.
Ingredients:
1/2 part CHAUCER'S Mead
1/2 part sparkling/soda
water
splash of lime juice over
rocks
a wedge of lemon/lime
on side of glass (optional)
