Bargetto Winery's 2008 Port is a blend of true Portuguese grape varieties grown in the Sierra foothills of California, in a climate of long warm summer days and nights which maximize the sugar levels in the grape and is so important in the production of Port. This port is 100% St. Amant Vineyard, located in Amador County, a 70+ year old vineyard planted on 5C Rootstock with vertical shoot position  trellis. All traditional Douro Valley Port varieties planted in varietal blocks.

The 2008 Sierra Foothills Port exhibits a dark, rich espresso layered with currants, chocolate and a subtle hint of vanilla beans coming together to created the perfect balance of fortification. Enjoy this wine with a warm chocolate souffle straight from the oven.
