The 2001 LA VITA is produced from a unique blend of northern Italian varietals grown in our estate vineyard in the Santa Cruz Mountains. This hand-crafted wine was aged for two and a half years in oak barrels and then aged for an additional two years in the bottle prior to release. The 2001 vintage yielded just 4,200 bottles. Part of the proceeds from the sale of LA VITA will be contributed to a non-profit organization in Santa Cruz. The 2001 LA VITA blend is 50% Dolcetto, 32% Refosco and 18% Nebbiolo. The featured artist is Margaret Loxton (20th Century)and is an oil on canvas painting titled Villa Trasqua, Chianti Classico.

2006 Santa Cruz Mountains Frescolino, Dry Rose -- A dry rose wine with tutti frutti flavors complement the taste of raspberry and pomegranate to be found in this wine.

2005 Lodi Carignane -- Aromas of red pie cherries, Cedar and floral overtones complement the soft tannins and acidity that is found in the wine.

2004 Lodi Zinfandel -- Playful blackberry with undertones of smoke and pepper greet one in the glass. Black cherry and jam are complemented by hints of violet and oak.

2005 Monterey County Syrah -- The wine is rich and dark with aromas of violet, black pepper and oak. The tannins are integrated with the wine, and there are flavors of cassis and chocolate.

2003 Central Coast Merlot -- The wine has aromas of cassis, black pepper and vanilla from the oak barrels. The aromas are carried through into the mouth with flavors of cherry, sweet oak and coffee.
